28 Slack Dmnand and Stock Accumulations:
In the year 1976, tlie depression set in with the textile industry, on account of slackness in demand and stocks were accumulated. A number of mills experienced hardships, resulting in the closure of the third shift in some cases. This phenomenon, in turn, adversely affected the employment situation of workers in some of the mills where some of the machines were closed. The Textile Labour Association being vigilant about the situation moved the Government to take deterrent action to avert closure and unemployment.

Workers' teachers training class was inaugurated by the distinguished guest Shri J» B< 'Diwan, Chief Judge of the High Court when Shri K. K.
