Analysis of wages and earnings.
Data of wages and earnings were collected in respect of 4,315 workers, employed in both the units in August 1944. The total number of samples, selected from different occupational categories in which the above-mentioned 4,315 workers were employed, was 2,918 or 67.6 per cent.
The following table shows the average daily basic wages and net earnings in the principal occupations. The averages refer to those of the samples and ğre based on figures of their actual wages and net earnings during the wage-period (i.e.- August 1944).
