This is a collection of memoirs of trade union activists and leaders who were part of the labour movement in its early phase. The collection has been conducted in two phases comprising 55 interviews. The interviews were conducted at several locations in India in a project of the Archives of Indian Labour in collaboration with N. M. Joshi Centre for Labour Research & Education.  

The memoir comprises partially a description of autobiographical nature apart from accounts of some major Trade union movements and other Mass Movements in their life periods.
